2 Day Fireweed Harvest to Hydrosol Educational Workshop Friday and Saturday August 30 and 31

This two day workshop event we will be harvesting Fireweed (Chamaenerion angustifolium).  We will be driving along a road in the Togwotee vicinity, harvesting some Fireweed plants and bringing them back to Lander for distillation in order to obtain a beautiful hydrosol for personal use.

Day 1) Friday 9AM - 5PM.  Harvesting Fireweed.  We'll be driving to the location where we will harvest fireweed.  Then we will bring the harvested fireweed back, to the Lander location for distillation.  We will get the copper alembic still ready and pack the still with Fireweed and the proper amount of water for the distillation the next morning.

Day 2) Saturday 9AM - 2PM. Distillation of the Fireweed.  We will begin our day with lighting the burner to begin the distillation of the fireweed we had packed during the afternoon the day before.  We'll learn about the art of distillation and also there will be a lot of learning about Fireweed and what this amazing plant can do for a persons health and well being.  We'll also learn about how various Native American tribes used this botanical for sustenance and health.  I'll have books and also other contact resources for your continued education on Fireweed and also on the art of distillation.  You'll bring home one 4oz bottle of hydrosol plus one 2oz bottle of hydrosol as well.
